She is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal oral health and feel confident in their smiles. Whether it’s restoring function, improving aesthetics, or addressing complex dental concerns, Dr. O’Brien takes a highly personalized approach—listening closely to each patient’s unique needs and developing tailored treatment plans.
Extensive Experience and Advanced Training
A proud graduate of Rutgers University, Dr. O’Brien earned high honors in both psychology and biology before being accepted into the highly competitive BA/DMD joint program through Rutgers and the New Jersey Dental School. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, she went on to complete her hospital residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. For over 15 years, she has remained actively involved in postgraduate dental education as a resident supervisor, and currently mentors future dentists at Robert Wood Johnson University Dental Clinic.
Dr. O’Brien also holds the distinction of being a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD)—an honor awarded to only about 6% of general dentists across the U.S. and Canada. This fellowship required the completion of 500 hours of continuing education and passing a comprehensive exam, demonstrating Dr. O’Brien’s lifelong commitment to staying at the forefront of dental advancements.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. O’Brien resides in Middlesex County with her husband and two daughters, enjoying the balance of family life and a fulfilling dental career.
